This actually happened a few years ago. At the time, my wife and I were RV'ers, had a 20-ft camper trailer, and took several long-distance trips with it. When that idiot made that statement, we found other RV stores to buy equipment and do service work on our trailer. We finally gave up RV'ing as it was just getting too hard and physical on us both. I suspect a lot of RV people stopped patronizing Camper World the same time we did, because in every single RV park we stayed at, there were veterans and patriots everywhere, you could tell by their American flags and service emblems on their little patios. I had a USMC cover on my trailer's spare tire and it seemed everyone had some kind of military affiliation.
Have you tried class B or B+, or van conversions?
I forget what it's called, but our very first trip (to see if we liked RV'ing) was a rental RV America thing with the driving compartment up front and the living area just behind. Is that Class C? That was back in 2012, so I've sort of forgotten the different nomenclature.
Still, we just got over it, the nomadic lifestyle wasn't for us.
