Ukraine has a corrupt government it is true. Russia's government is just as corrupt, if not more so. It is a country ran by a few billionaires who have made their fortunes swindling the country. Getting paid huge government contracts and skimming half off the top for themselves. Russia has killed civilians with bombings far away from the front, they attack to cause terror, they did the same thing in Syria, the same thing in Georgia and Chechnya... they accuse Ukraine of using human shields... meanwhile they block any paths for civilians to evacuate.
Russia is also employing Islamic mercenaries and Chechen terrorists in their army. Not too surprising because the only allies Putin can muster are either communists or Islamist.
No. As in Mariupol, the Russians established humanitarian safe egress corridors and declared cease-fire intervals for civilians to evacuate (e.g., from the Azovstal complex), but the Ukrainian forces (Azov battalion types in this case) forbade the civilians to leave on pain of death. Plenty of testimony to this fact, as a general policy of the UAF. Ultimately, the civilians were able to evacuate...and the UAF forces were kept bottled up until they had to surrender. (The Russians learned to do this in Syria. It offered an easy path to surrender, and they were happy to have any of the opposition surrender, instead of fight.)
The Russians are not terror-bombing. The Ukrainians are capable of doing it all on their own---ever since 2014, with the Donbass as the punching bag. The Russians are only going after legitimate military targets. The Ukrainians do use human shields; they insert themselves in homes, offices, schools, kindergartens, in order to establish headquarters or fire bases. They will even put artillery in back yards and fire from there (I've seen the videos). To do this is a war crime...or maybe you are indifferent to war crimes?
The Chechens are very well behaved in their interactions with the public. What there is to see. No complaints from the liberated, as the Chechens have been taking the lead in going after the neo-Nazis.
