For the longest time now I have suspected that the two things that could destroy people and their will to live would be:
We find out that the spiritual battle, between actual living demons and actual living angels of God are in a struggle for the souls of all mankind; that these entities do indeed exist and will become manifest in our reality for all to see.
or
That we indeed do "exist" only in a virtual world, that what we have always thought of as "reality" is really just lines of code in the most super of super-computers created by an intelligence of infinite sophistication.
Either of those two revelations could paralyze most humans into the greatest cognitive dissonance ever.
Thank you. When I first began reading about "living in a virtual reality" some years ago, at first I was looking for the flaws in the logic. Eventually, however, I began to give it some credence, or at least being open-minded enough to acknowledge the possibility.
My trouble with living in a matrix, however, is this: What becomes of God and our spiritual relationship with God in such a scenario? But then again, what if it IS God that holds us in our virtual existence, and that our free will still exists, even if we are virtual beings. Maybe I think too much about such things, and should simply accept reality as I have always perceived it....living on Earth, learning the lessons I am supposed to learn here, and living among other people in harmony.
Have you watched the show “Westworld”? I think it’s something very close to that. Thinking is that some of the “elites” come from bloodlines that woke up and realized the nature of our reality and how to manipulate it.
I believe #1. I have dreamed about aliens and they aren't good dreams. And some days I feel it in the air -- it feels turbulent, like invisible ships are fighting invisible wars just outside my window.
And #2 -- what happens if you strip away the code? Would we see the face of God?

You put that perfectly. I’m kind of partial to scenario number two. I think you’re exactly right though.

I'll check it out. What network is it on?
Awesome.
I'm okay with either or both.

All good ideas and questions.. for which I have no solid answers.
