But public opinion does not fit with their narrative.
They push the lie that abortion is popular, but after Roe v wade the turnout for abortion was abysmal. Even in New York hardly anyone showed up for abortion. It was so bad even the diehard activists kept making excuses for why only dozens came.
When the narrative was unmasked, they switched. Now they're trying to instead set up false flags and act like pro-lifers are going to attack abortion clinics.
What Kagan means is "what we say is popular should be what is allowed". Aka if they claim this is popular than it should be pushed regardless of whether it really is popular.
They believe that their opinion is the majority of public opinion and hence SCOTUS should rule that way, At no time did she mention the Constitution.
