In the mid 90's when I put my kids in public school from homeschooling, I become a sub in our school district, predominately in the 3 schools my kids were in. I became a permanent sub later at the middle school. I really enjoyed getting to know the teachers...wonderful people. The kids for the most part were wonderful too. Schools have changed a great deal since I went in the 50's or from when I subbed in the 90's. I am not sure I could do that again in today's world.
