I'm in Australia.
We regularly have days over 40C (104F) degrees in Summer. Never heard of anyone dying of a heart attack from the heat. Not once in my over 45 years of life.
We quite often get bushfires during our summer, and sometimes you get 40C+ (104F+) and a bushfire on the same day, meaning it is not uncommon for our fire services to be fighting bushfires in 40C/104F+ temperatures while standing directly in front of a raging fire about 3 stories high. Never heard of any fire fighter dying of a heart attack from heat while fighting a bushfire (except as a result of actually being severely burned by fire).
I'm actually in what's considered to be one of the hottest places in all of Australia, the NT. If heat caused heart attacks then we'd know about it here.
Of course you're right. I'm from the city, where the same common-sense observations, about how the headline is wrong and stupid, are shared using sarcasm.
Cheers, mate.
Oh of course, I understand and appreciated your sarcasm.
I was just expanding on your sarcasm with adding some truths from what a lot of people regard as one of the hotter places on Earth, Australia.
We've got the ludicrous story of heat causing heart attacks here in Aus as well. It's absolutely crazy!
