But modern psychology is complete nonsense. We no longer seek to cure or treat abnormal behavior or psychosis, we only help people cope with their problems and convince them they’re normal. We promote and enable mental disorders, and as we’ve seen in the past decade especially, modern psychology has made the abnormal normal, and normal abnormal. The APA has been taken over by marxists, just like every other institution.
Old timey psychology, such as the psychoanalytical model, used by Freud and others in the late 1800s to early 1900s, was a long drawn out process to get to the root of one’s abnormal behavior or psychosis, oftentimes digging into childhood traumas, in order to break free from that bondage. Today? No, you get a handful of short visits to learn mindfulness techniques and told you’re special. 🙄😬
