Some might find this interesting, but I've heard theories about people who's brains have similar traits to the medical 'labels' of things like schizophrenia, ADHD, Autism etc. In that if they were born into tribes and the elders noticed those traits in you, they'd take you to be trained as a Shaman as that is something these people excel in...I find it very interesting as these types can also naturally be rebellious to 'authoritive figures' and 'society'. As if they also have a conscious awareness early on that there is more to life. I think people with these certain aspects have unique gifts which are obviously shunned on purpose!

There’s a reason Scientology gets attacked by the same corrupt media that attacks Trump. Born and raised as a Scientologist, we are constantly attacked by the msm, when I saw the same attacks happening to Trump in 2016 I knew right then this guy was the real deal and they were terrified of him too. Scientology has long been fighting the war against psychotropic drugs and they hate us for it.

Maybe it gets attacked because it is an evil organization... There's too much info out there that shows scientology as just another criminal cabal in competition with the Rothchilds...

Spend a little time researching John “Jack” Whiteside Parsons, and his relationship with L Ron Hubbard the founder of scientology. Also noticed thier relationship to the early satanic church. Jack and Ron shared a wife basically. Talk about a rabbit hole.

I don't know much about Scientology but I did see that South Park episode, is that episode an accurate representation of what you Scientologist actually believe? because if it is, that shit sounds pretty retarded.

Being in a cult (Scientology) was what enabled him to identify the cultists behavior of Big Pharma and the psychiatric industry.

L Ron Hubbard made this claim, long ago. It's part of the Scientology's belief; and has some basis in fact.

Nobody with a Psychiatric disease has ever been "cured", however the use of Psychiatry has been used to drive thousands, if not millions of people, into a psychiatric illness. Hubbard's assertion was that the study of psychiatry does far more harm, than good.

The fact that this is even a debatable topic, gives Mr. Hubbard a sale's pitch into Scientology.

I just remembered a study from when I was in college in 09 that in a double blind the people on certain antidepressants averaged 2 points out of 42 or 46 points higher than the control group which was incredibly negligible and in the same margin of error for placebo effects basically saying even back then it did nothing. I am married to someone who struggled with some of these things and man if you don't take them after you ate on them watch out cause that will make you go looney tunes. The idea you have to ween yourself off them is terrifying.

Anti-depressants are well known for having a whiplash effect, and one in particular is known for essentially making you feel explosive shocks in your brain (which is inherently weird as we don't have the ability to feel pain there; headaches are deferred pain often coming from tension, neck pain, etc.) if you miss a dose or are late, which makes coming off that very hard. Some people experience this for weeks or months after being weaned off.

That's why psychology is better than psychiatry.

Talking about your problems in a safe environment and being reinforced where needed is an important science; the notion that people need to be medicated instead of being guided from their anxiety and fears and having their good thoughts reinforced is insane.

As someone who was medicated as a child, no thank you. That stuff slows your metabolism and makes you gain weight, and makes you hungrier to boot and doesn't resolve your core issues.

I can't agree. Psychology is in a turf war with medicine and most of the social sciences for the dubious honor of being seen as the new secular priestly caste.

It resembles nothing more than the medieval church with different sects and schools fighting each other to promote their version of "the truth"

Not very many of psychology's findings are reproducible and not very many pass Poppers falsification test. Psychology doesn't seem to be medical or scientific, psychologists themselves cannot be struck off a medical register as psychiatrists can, all that will happen is that they will get thrown out of their various seats of learning.

All they have to do then is to rebrand themselves as "counsellors" or "life coaches" and carry on regardless. Anyone can call themselves councellors and start practicing as one, even if they are straight out of prison.

He was sort of right, I say this as someone who works in social services with a bachelors in psych, and my wife is a licensed therapist. I have a lot of friends in the industry with varying levels of education and licensing, from masters to Ph.D.’s. The chemical imbalance thing is huge, we were all duped by big pharma, which should be no surprise.

But modern psychology is complete nonsense. We no longer seek to cure or treat abnormal behavior or psychosis, we only help people cope with their problems and convince them they’re normal. We promote and enable mental disorders, and as we’ve seen in the past decade especially, modern psychology has made the abnormal normal, and normal abnormal. The APA has been taken over by marxists, just like every other institution.

Old timey psychology, such as the psychoanalytical model, used by Freud and others in the late 1800s to early 1900s, was a long drawn out process to get to the root of one’s abnormal behavior or psychosis, oftentimes digging into childhood traumas, in order to break free from that bondage. Today? No, you get a handful of short visits to learn mindfulness techniques and told you’re special. 🙄😬

For anyone this may help, my husband came off of Adderall. The first time he tried it was unsuccessful and a mess. The second time he did a combination of things: 1.) he had a chunk of time off of work (because he had injured his hand, so he used the time to go through the process) 2.) He had cleaned up his diet- just eating better quality foods. 3.) By that point he had dealt with the metal and spiritual issues he had (root causes) from his childhood (well not all of them, but a good chunk) 4.) He had gone to a naturopath and had some helpful supplements to assist his body. I believe they were citrus bioflavanoids. Edit: He had been put on Ritalin as a preteen, taken off as an older teen, then was prescribed adderall as an adult... then we started researching it.

Antidepressants do help people with depression LOL. Sure, if you want to argue about how exactly they help people, whatever. But they do work, and they often make a huge difference in people’s lives

Apparently ssri's are more like: pro-depression pills with a side of suicidal tendencies and a glazed-over emotional state. Something, something, ssri's aren't even as good as placebo- which makes them worse than taking nothing (LOL).

People need to stop making excuses for their inability to control their own thoughts/ actions, and consider their internal & external karmic burden. Then make a worthwhile change- instead of being a med-fag sheep. Forever unhealthy.

Anti-depressants are often used with other therapies as well. Whether it’s psychotherapy or behavioural strategies. I work as a counsellor and I’ve seen first hand how anti-depressants have worked in the lives of my clients (and some of my friends as well). Not everyone can be as strong as Shazxofshadilay, forever healthy

Antidepressants do something, but that is not evidence that they work. A recent study showed that the evidence they manage depression is bunk and that doctors don't really understand what causes depression, but it is not a "chemical imbalance."

From what I recall, they created chemical imbalances of the substances SSRIs affect in lab rats and they did not show or develop signs of depression. I think they did this is volunteer humans as well by adjusting their diet to create chemical imbalances (and measurement) and found happy people remained happy, depressed people remained depressed. Thus the study concluded that SSRIs affecting serotonin are not doing what psychiatrists think they are doing.
