Finally the ventilator narrative makes a comeback - remember when Pres. Trump was criticized because there werent enough ventilators and nothing in the aresenal to fight the pandemic and they said that is why so many people were dying of COVID?? So Trump ordered companies to produce more vents? Later we became aware that they were actually being used as instruments of death. I have been waiting for this topic to make a return so all the lies told to Trump which led to the 14 days to flatten the curve will come out.

They were killing people with ventilators, covid causes your oxygen levels to drop but it's not due to an inability to physically breath so a ventilator doesn't help, and when it doesn't work they just crank it higher and blow your fucking lungs out.
Yep extra pressure doesn't help when the issue is that your blood isn't absorbing enough oxygen, it can't be physically brute-forced.

I dunno, I'm sure an enterprising person could convert the equipment in that into something that might be more useful.

It would be a challenge regardless, and there's a strong chance that either stuff would be damaged or part of integrated chips that couldn't be used for anything different. IOW, a strong chance that even with the reduced price that one couldn't make a profit from the parts.
