Generally people trying to cross the desert die of the desert. That's the actual problem, there's even signs in Spanish warning people not to attempt crossing it.
I'm not sure what the local geography is like - I'm assuming that crossing point is used because the stretch of desert is less or something. I have to get to work here now so just throwing this out there for further discussion/if people want to dig on it a bit or whatever.
Thanks for your comments. And yes I totally understand. I live in Arizona. Without water, shelter, and air-conditioning, you just can’t survive here. Period.
I do home repairs on the side, we drink Pedialyte daily, I have tons of ice water, wear hats, have air-conditioning in the vehicle, and if we’re not inside of a house, find shade to work in. Even with all of that, it’s a tough day to make it through.
This year I happen of had several surgeries, so I’m not working right now. But… It’s been so hot lately, I’m actually grateful. I’ll get back to it soon enough. And hopefully it won’t be so hot.
FTA it's supposedly to keep immigrants safer, lol. Apparently they're drowning in this passage.
Not sure what to really make of this.
Drowning in what? Local houses' pools???
I’m assuming the Rio grande, but I’m not so sure that the Rio Grande runs through that specific area. But then again… MSM is going to MSM!
Morelos Dam is south end of Colorado river...generally a trickle of mud
Well I guess you can die in 3 inches of water. LOL!
