Not true, necessarily; wolves have a pack of followers and an alpha that leads them.
Being an alpha is the same as any leadership role; you have a responsibility. Part of the great awakening is being ready to provide information to the awakened. We are meant to be the alphas.
You can teach someone how to seek out information, but you can give some origin points to nudge them on their way too.
Wikipedia is...not really one of those origin points for most subjects.
