Good friends moved out of state to avoid the mandates. Upended their entire lives.
People have lost everything.
We weren’t lucky, we were cynical at first, then Suspicious, then awake. It didn’t come easy. We’ve been screamed at, spit upon, othered as second class citizens.
We’ve seen the ugly side of the mob stirred up w fear and hate and absolutely sure of their superior status. They were all wrong. But I won’t forget the ugliness. This letter confirms the ugliness still exists— the humility, grace, and admitting their folly hasn’t come yet for all.
I won’t laugh, cause that’s not my style. But until I get some real mea culpas... not really caring. Consequences are important for greater wisdom.
