I was literally just saying this to my cousin at a family party this weekend - he is far more masculine than me cos he had a father figure. I was one of the boys mentioned in the example above - single mum and all female teachers (and mostly female friends also)
No-one was there to teach me how to shave properly or style my hair or change a tyre. My father was How To videos on Youtube. And it's likely the same for a whole generation of boys too. :/
My friend… Recognizing that very much makes you a Man.. I was fortunate to have a Real man as a father.. I also actively looked for mentors who had FRUIT in their lives.. just remember none of us are ripened tomatoes.. we are always growing and changing.. there are a lot of Good Men out there that want to share that trait and what they know with those willing to listen and learn ..

I have a sister who got divorced and she identified herself as a single mother, even though her ex-husband had the kids every weekend. She would poison them against him, so he would have to undo that every doggone weekend. They have 3 boys, all graduated either college or HS, all living in her home still. So single mom doesn't always mean no men, it can mean woman is an idiot and man is dealing with his poor decisions.
I have a friend who's husband grew up with a Father who's Father passed away at a very young age. Her husband says he recalls his Father always saying he didn't know how to be a Father because he was never taught since his Dad died. So he did his best. We will have generations effected by this evilness and toxic femininity.
Femenists are the worst. I dated one and she was absolutely insane. They are mentally ill. She got cheated on by her bf in highschool for 4 years and only found out a year after. I understand that can fuck you up. But when you start trying to change the world because you dated an asshole means you're bias and not worthy of discussion.

Yup this is so true. Same for me even if my father is now in my life, the lack of that role model as a kid is hard to come back from.
Even if my dad came back now im 30, the damage is already done.
