Many mom and pop businesses in my town are totally awake and charge extra if you don't pay cash. So I pay cash. I also tip in cash, even in places that want electronic payments.
You need cash in case "they" shut down all the electronic "money," preferably a lot in small bills. Also keep a lot of coins.

I would agree, but I disagree because of the federal reserve banking system. If our dollars ever go back to being backed by gold, and silver, then yes use cash only. I use lines of credit solely for cash-back rewards. free money, gov already taxes us to hell.
How are you buying anything at all without using the federal reserve banking system? Your lines of credit use the same system.
Also, unless you're some kind of machine, you will buy stuff on credit and wind up paying egregious interest. It's best in the long run to end all the credit and use only cash and debit cards. After you've been out of debt a while, you won't need credit for anything, even a car or house.
pay the credit balance every month a week ahead of due date. never pay intrest. my credit is in the top 5%. you paying yourself back and not be bank, but the bank has to pay you for the cash rewards.. simple

Do you realize that everything you buy with a credit card costs more than it would otherwise because of the extra fee that businesses have to pay? Local businesses here give me the option of paying cash and avoiding that extra charge, as they charge it separately so people can see how the cards are screwing people.
I choose not to participate. A "credit score" is irrelevant to me, as I will never use it.
