I get unpleasant background notes, and barely acceptable primary flavor notes.
I don't eat a burger every day or something, but if I want a burger I'll get a burger. If I want something a little lighter or different, there are like 30 different ways to make a veggie burger.
Don't need to pretend byproducts are meat when I crave a burger but don't want meat.
I doubt it is because it is pricier...lol... it's because it tastes like the ass end of a skunk!
Full disclosure - I have never actually tasted the ass end of a skunk...just guessing it is bad.
I tried some of the Beyond Meat when it first came out. Weird thing is it smelled just like real meat cooking. But then you tasted it - ugh!

“Craving a burger” + “but don’t want meat” are statements that are incompatible!
