Going by memory, they cloned a sheep named Dolley over 20 years ago.
When they attempted to apply the same technique to human cells for cloning, it failed completely.
Now I understand that this is a different novel technique to getting a cell to revert to a synthetic embryonic state, but even from the article, none of the synthetic mouse embryos were viable as evidenced by them not taking when implanted. Even if those synthetic mouse embryos could be gestated and birthed as a baby mouse, it does not mean this technique will work on humans. They very well could experience the same failures that they saw with trying to duplicate the sheep cloning method on a human cell.
I do agree with the sentiment that should humanity ever manage to clone a human, then we are definitely in end times. Of course, it could be humanity never figures out a way to clone itself and we get to end times without it.
