What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
I didn't know anyone was hurt
Yeah, there was initially a flurry of posts on TS all like "it's GOD etc etc" yet this morning the tune is changed and they are making fun of headlines blaming the lightning on climate change.
It's a really sad and embarrassing episode all around in my view.
I do agree with you that I think it is sad when people are dying from lightning strikes, that there’s any celebration at all whatsoever. Their families connected with those people, and they are grieving today.
I don’t think it has anything to do with climate change, or God, or whatever reason people are coming up with. It’s called life. We all live, and we will all die. Some people die in different ways. Some people have been struck by lightning before and lived.
From one short article that I looked at, it was a husband and wife that were visiting Washington DC on vacation. Can you imagine waking up to a phone call from the hospital finding out that your parents are dead, from just going on vacation? How sad is that?
And then what makes it even more sad, is all the stupid MSM Talking Heads making up stories about your parents passing, blaming it on climate change.
I just hope and pray that those people will be able to deal with their loss. I will be praying for them.
All this and like I say the initial reaction - before the climate change stuff - all over TS was "God is giving a sign." I unfollowed a couple major accounts over it.
And yeah the article I link above has a picture of the couple, who I'm sure were on All-American vacation to DC, maybe they hadn't been and it was bucket list, who knows.
Now, while I don't want to go on too big a tangent/let them RIP, it remains a fact that people almost universally treat nearby lightning far too casually....
I didn't see any of that, I got text from my aunt saying lightening hit the Oval Office.
Which I thought was weird, why not say the White House. I was more inclined to not believe it even happened.
