Dave has really done a great service to the world by his humble efforts. And, if you listen to his testimony, his efforts were humble. He was amazed when he first got 200 subscribers (way before Q of course).
Proud, it's a British and Irish slang term. I see a lot of British slang around here, which I find very interesting. My family is relatively new, from Ireland, all my grandparents, so it is fun to see these terms here and there.

There were a few times watching an X22 report where I said "I read that on VOAT yesterday"
Dave did acknowledge VOAT more than once. Not often though.
Yeah, I think he's improved on this aspect a lot now, but back in the day, he wasn't very big on referencing the sauce.
