Hershey's has a bit of a negative connotation due to the fact that their process uses butyric acid. It's not actually terrible if you grew up with it, but awful if you grew up with other chocolates for sure.
I like Hershey's chocolate now and then, there's a certain quality about it that takes me back to my childhood.
Fast breaks and Reese's cups are my two weaknesses (same with Oreos), and it's a rare indulgence. I'll live by avoiding them for a while, since I am already eating sugar in moderation anyway.
I think I had Stover once and was not impressed. I don't think I've had anything by Palmer's though. Glad to know to avoid them!
For me, Palmers and Frankford are basically bottom of the barrel... Nestle is close... Whitman and Russell Stover next. Hershey gets more disgusting the older I get. Mars.. meh, lindt is too smooth and cloying now. Dove was good for awhile, same as Ghirardelli. Im basically down to random foreign stuff or super expensive stuff. Oh.. It doesn't matter how bad they are, they're good.. Curly Wurlys from England. Used to have Marathon bars here that were similar.
