The musician, in an interview with a major American television channel, said that Biden continues to kindle the fire of the Ukrainian conflict. “This is a serious crime. Why doesn’t the US call on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to start negotiations with Moscow to end this terrible conflict?” Waters asked.
The musician also stressed that the special operation to protect Donbass was a reaction to an attempt to expand NATO to the borders of Russia, although the organization promised not to do so.
Taking a break from his usual unhinged hysterical Trump bashing, I see.
This guy doesn't like the music business, pop stardom, the workaday world, people, Republicans, Democrats, David Gilmour...
Was surprised and highly gratified to learn just last week that it's not his voice on Have A Cigar singing the part of the record producer: "We're just knocked out/ We heard about the sellout/ You've gotta get an album out/ You owe to the people/ [and here's the classic iconic line] WE'RE SO HAPPY WE CAN HARDLY COUNT!"
Hats off to Roy Harper!
Oh, and that vocal is one more thing Roger doesn't like. Says if he'd sung it himself, he'd have sung it less "cynical" and more "vulnerable" (i.e., wimpy). But he was persuaded to leave it on the record. Judging from the sales, a wise decision.
