The quote is from Friar Laurence in Hamlet, Act 2: Scene 5
When I heard about the FBI raid on Trump’s home, I was outraged, and I began looking for culprits. When one appeared, I landed on her without allowing enough time to confirm whether the news I saw was true. I was well on my way with my pitchfork and torch before I came to understand that it was not Judge Renatha Francis who signed the warrant for the FBI search of Mar-a-lago. It was Judge Bruce Reinhart, which seems much more likely in any event because he’s been running in the established circles of power here in Florida for a long time.
I feel chastened by God, which far outweighs any embarrassment I feel. Without realizing it, I was guilty of spreading a false report about an innocent person. That’s a violation of a commandment that’s right up there with “Thou shalt not murder.” I have done what I could to rectify my error, deleting my posts and apologizing to the judge, but the fear of God remains, and I will let it have its effect. I apologize also to the good people of this community for my error. I did not mean to lead anyone astray or sully the name of someone who doesn’t deserve it.
“. . . the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:20)
I am really seeing the truth of this scripture.
Lesson learned. We have all done it, most have not owned up to it as you have. Carry on soldier!
I appreciate you making amends for bearing false witness, but don’t sweat it too much. You didn’t intentionally make false statements, and your statements didn’t cause much damage. Besides, even if she’s not guilty of this particular warrant, she’s not necessarily an “innocent person” either. How many judges these days aren’t corrupted scumbags in one way or another?
It made sense,as we have be betrayed many times.
You immediately did the right thing though. And in the future you will be more careful.
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
This is our theme song.
