True, but in those days Israel had not been restored to a nation state, which was a prophecy that did not come true until 1948. Other prophecies say that the generation that sees Israel restored will not pass before the coming of the son of man.
Whether one argues a generation is 70 years or a 100 years, it tells us the time is soon. Whether decades or months I am sure I do not know but I do not see civilization continuing like this until 2060.
Just because someone names their country Israel doesn't mean that it represents God's Israel and people. They are only Jews if they have faith in YHWH and serve Him.
We do not know if we are nearing the end or not. That is why I try to focus on what God wants me to do rather than eschatology.
I bet the Russians in the Bolshevik Revolution felt like they were in the end times, same with people at the start of WW1 and 2.

What does that question even mean or imply? A remnant will survive, likely not you or me, I'm comfortable with that are you?
