Since the 80's, I don't believe there's been many, if any, athletes who just randomly died on the field. Sure, people have passed out, maybe died as a result of on the field, but not people dead ON the field waiting for a medic (or at least extremely rarely).
I can think of a handful of instances involving the strength and conditioning parts of the college FOOBAW regimen, but they almost always involved sickle cell, old school hydration approaches, or a rabid S&C coach causing the team to get Rhabdo.
I am getting more numb to these news and images the more I see them. Perhaps, this is the way. Those of us who saw through the scam tried to fight it. We all faced varying levels of trauma, losses, and some who likely decided they could not take it and threw in the towel.
«But they didn't suffer from a long death...»
Dark.

Exactly.
Note: My cynism was put into existence by the twisted cognitive dissonance of many.
Good thing they were vaccinated or it would have been worse
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye... or teammate, then it's serious as a heart attack. Life-over=game-over.
And just think... we're only three years in to this mess. What will the future hold— an end that isn't for everyone, perhaps.
Well if they keep fucking adding more poison for sure.
Kids are going to be jabbed like 20 times with this shit before 2024

My grief for my losses is slowly going away.
Shit, that shouldn't be funny.
