Type A: Documents that could lead to war with another Nation.
Type B: Documents that prove the Government is involved in high crimes against its People's interests.
The only reason the Government would withhold documents from the People, WHOM THEY SERVE, is to avoid going to war.
If Trump did, in fact, have classified documents in his keeping, even nuclear...
I highly doubt they were deemed "classified" to avoid war with foreign nations.
Let's face it, Trump is a Peacemaker.
He's started a War (or rather, is finishing one) with the DeepState Cabal in order to END their countless Wars against Humanity. They're the ones trying to get us into WW3 with Russia and giving Ukraine enough arms and money to take out the Mexican Drug Cartels.
Nope.
I'm convinced that the documents, indeed if there are any, are classified because the details therein would mean the People would have to go to war with their Criminal Government, not with any single foreign power.
There is fundamentally no other reason documents need to be classified other than to A: Stop an international War or B: Protect Criminals.
This is why we MUST have DECLAS.
Transparency is the only way.
Maybe I'm just naive, but in an ideal America we wouldn't be running endless military plans or activities.
It's only because we are the de-facto world police that has led to us needing to withhold what the military is doing from the American People.
I understand the need for secrecy to prevent terrorists from being able to easily pick us off...
But consider this:
What if the only reason we're in countries with terrorists wanting to kill Americans is because we are there on behalf of corporate, globalists who are selling arms to both sides of the conflict?
My honest belief is that if you declass all the documents, it'll provide a clear picture that both sides of any conflict are getting arms from the same interest groups.
And it's those very interest groups who have leveraged the American Government to hide those documents expressly so that we may never find out who is pulling the strings.
As it stands, I'm ready to withdraw all the troops, get them out of harm's way, then declass EVERYTHING and see who has actually been fueling the War Machine all these years.
How can the Government be For the People if they won't even tell the People what they're up to? Transparency is long overdue. Lies build on lies like a spider's web, until the sun is blocked out and we starve in the dark...
When it comes down to it, the only reason you would ever keep secrets from the people whom you claim to serve is to prevent A or B.
Are people really too stupid to safely know the Truth? or is keeping them in the Dark making them stupid?
Yes, you are naive. You want to have the speeds and altitudes and payload capabilities of our aircraft fully known to potential enemies? This has nothing to do with "America," ideal or otherwise. It has to do with elementary military strategy: keep your capabilities and dispositions unknown to potential threats. Likewise, do you want to advertise our own abilities to detect and decipher the capabilities and dispositions of potential enemies---to help them evade and avoid detection? No, that would be plainly foolish.
As for Trump, there is no indication that there is any formerly-classified information whose declassification would impair our defense. I'm not saying that classification can't be misused for ulterior purposes. I am saying that classification is NOT de facto ulterior. (It is like an automobile. I can use one to commit a bank robbery---or I can use one to pursue and capture bank robbers.)
As for foreign military bases, their existence is no secret. We can get as much information as we demand. But we don't demand. We just get our noses out of joint when we find that our obliviousness has been taken advantage of. All this can change, but we can't look to anyone other than ourselves to initiate that change. I saw this time and again in union politics: umbrage and outrage against the ruling tyranny---but no interest in "getting involved" or running for office.
