Why would they need to process immigration papers if you are a legal citizen? Do all rich people only fly in & out of major airports and not out of their own private runways/ co-opted private airports (not opened to public)?
(When I said private airport, I meant those not opened to the general public where there are TSA agents and such)
But how do they know you are a legal citizen? By presenting a passport. Rich people fly in and out of airport with immigrations and customs when returning to the US from traveling abroad.
Ok, I am asking about American citizens who have their own airplanes, stored at their own air hangers, and who do not go in or out of major airports.
Also, it has been obvious for years that there ARE illegals gaining entry to this country by somehow bypassing immigration and making it to our country via organizations like LSS to be dumped in the middle of nowhere, for the citizens of those states and cities to have to take on.
It’s highly illegal to just fly into the US, even if you are a US citizen and own your own hangar. They attempt to monitor airspace for suspicious aircraft - obviously they do not 100% as we can see with drug traffickers. But to the original question, no, it’s not legal.
