What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Since starting a daily workout routine of sorts, I've gotten into better shape, losing some fat and inches while gaining some much needed muscle. It feels good to feel good! I ride my bike while listening to/reading my daily Bible plan and today I made 3 miles in 13:01 at (primarily) level 7 (recumbent bike). There's no way I could have done it months ago. I'm not getting any younger, but I'm not letting mid-40s turn me into a blob! Even with my bone-on-bone knee action, I get it done.
Great on you! We're trying to keep with our original daily half hour walk even as we add other exercises, what a change in feeling!
Random other health note, I stopped using commercial shampoo a few years ago and stopped having any sort of scalp issues. Had to stay overnight elsewhere unexpectedly and borrowed their dandruff shampoo. Sure enough, a little over a day later I had dandruff! Truth in advertising? They never put "anti-dandruff" on the bottle.
Awesome!!! What do you use for a scalp cleanser? I've been trying to stay away from extra chemicals.
I can hook you up with a good product, but don't want to be openly shilling my wares here.
DM If you're interested, I can give a link to the store. Formulate something special for you even. Anons are here to help.
I appreciate that! Be expecting a message later. :)
There are a few local bar soap makers that use all clean ingredients and essential oils that make everything smell incredible; works great for the whole family, head to toe.
The women folk use some with aloe or jojoba, or put something in their hair that puts some oils back.
If I didn't have my brace, I would be hobbling around and limping badly. It has helped me, even correcting my gait some when I'm not wearing it. It's been a great investment.
I sweat like a son of a gun, though! I never used to sweat so much while working outside that it would run into my eyes and off my nose. Other than the burning eyes, I don't mind it. My body is in more prime shape. It's a feeling of satisfaction. My husband's getting a hotter wife and he sure doesn't mind!
Good job! I have a medial meniscus injury right now but Im on the trying to get healthy train with ya 😉
