There IS a market for electric cars, and no reason not to have some electrics on the road.
There is NOT sufficient demand to keep the entire automobile industry in business with nothing but electrics on offer; too many consumer downsides (price, charging issues, safety issues, etc). This government-caused rush by manufacturers to replace their gasoline models with electrics will be an epic failure.
Combined with the economic destruction being inflicted world-wide, the supply chain disruptions, and the Great Die-Off in progress from the pseudo-vaccines, I expect a huge drop in sales for the auto industry over the next few years.
Then there are the many OTHER reasons that a large percentage of electric vehicles makes no sense (lack of electrical generation capacity, horrifying ecological problems, etc).
Interesting and disturbing that the CEOs of, so far as I know, EVERY major auto manufacturer are going along with this.
