I don't see it that way. By far, the great majority is bringing God into their lives. Reading scripture is critical to a healthy spiritual life, but attending church and praying are not the only ways. Some people live and breathe with God in their actions, in dedicating their work and hearts to God, and live with God much more intimately than some people who simple read scripture, go to 'church' and pray.
I guess that another point to that effect could have been added, but for me, each of the options there inherently contains a focus on aligning with God and being an instrument for his work, so I never thought to have something separate. And to me, that's the problem. Some people think that focusing on God means doing separate stuff, like the things you mentioned.
God should be an integrated part of whatever you do, not just those churchy things. Leaving God out of, or thinking God is somehow separate to, all the other things in one's life, is a formula for where we eventually ended up. IMO.
The reason from my comment was, the actual poll wanted to rate the highest priority of what we need to do collectively to fight this good fight.
My comment was clear. There was no choice to vote for God. Yes without God in the picture, everything is for not! It should at least been something that people could upvote as a topic, but it was omitted.
I agree with everything you say about people living Christ centered life, but I didn’t say that you had to do all the things above to be a Christian. But - yes - by doing the things that I suggested, generally people are going to have Christ in their life on a daily basis in everything that they do.
I didn’t say everybody had to do that, but it’s a good formula. I know many people that don’t go to church, that love the Lord, and are very faithful in their faith to the Lord. But that faithfulness does include reading his word as a reminder of things that he wants us to do.
The thing I enjoy most is going to the women’s Bible study. These women are not your basic Womens Bible Study, they are lit. It’s a real Bible study, and then afterwords we talk about the election, one of them is a poll worker and has been in our county for the last 20 years. She’s actually speaking out. Also we discuss everything that we talk about you on the Great awakening. Everything from Michelle Obama being a man, to The Clintons hit list!
These women are on fire for the Lord, and it shows in their daily deeds and every matter of which they live their lives. Of course the suggestions that I gave, should lead people to the same path, but it’s not an exclusivity thing, and it’s not a churchy thing. It’s a lifestyle choice that I choose for myself that works for me, And for millions around the world.
The specific group of people along with some other Womens Bible Study that I go to are some of the biggest prayer warriors that I know. The minute anything comes up that’s super important, I send it out to the prayer warriors. That’s three Bible studies of women. And I do the same for them when they send out messages for prayer for their families.
Only the Lord knows a persons heart, and there could be a person who goes to church every week, who doesn’t even know Christ. But that’s not for me to judge, that’s between him and each individual person.
