Is it straight ivermectin, I've order 4 tubes two different places and they all had that other ingredient ( can't remember name ) that I heard is not good to use only straight ivermectin but I haven't found it , ty and can u tell me what tractor supply I'll order immediately thank you again
It is only ivermectin, no other inged. Pkg say 1.87% iver, though. Duramectin is a brand name. Brand name doesn't really matter. Just read label. If you have a choice between getting iver paste that is a white paste, or is a GEL, GET THE GEL if you want milder flavor. When I got iver at tractor supply it was Dramectin brand. Usually I order from Valley Vet.
I like the gel (duramectin) better but I have the white substance also and it works but the dosing is 125 pounds/notch...a little harder to calculate. I give away the gel and use the white paste to make it easy on people.
I purchased the six pack from the Hollister Missouri Tractor Supply store. It was the only box on the shelf and the first time I'd seen a six pack. Great price, around eight bucks a tube, so it doesn't hurt the pocket book too much.
Anyone with dogs, can you answer this: Many pets have been dealing with constant allergy issues due to poor shitty pet food and it does not matter how expensive or cheap you go on the food. Numerous dog owners I have spoken to over the last several years have mentioned that they too have their pet(s) suffering from things such as constant ear issues, skin issues, shedding, etc. We have all done what we thought was best, taking our dogs to the vets, only to end up on expensive medications that not only did not fix any concerns but even created new ones.
Has anyone attempted to give their dog IVM to clear up any issues?
Just read up on dogs and ivemectin...some breeds should not take it but it is a common treatment for vets to use with dogs. There are people on this site that have used IVM with their dogs but I don't remember how they dosed etc.
My poor pup has some skin issues. It started as folliculitis but now he get big bumps that end with big scabs that flake off. I have tried numerous different food like you said. I have started putting ivermectin on these inflammation nodules. So I am rubbing on bare skin to be absorbed through the skin. He won't take it by mouth but I want to see how it works on his skin. He's a pitbull. It remains to be seen if it will be successful system wide for him.
Prayers to you and your pibble! Have tried all the foods ourselves, numerous pet meds before (Which caused more problems), cbd salve, and even that expensive Dinovite (which my dogs hated and didnt work) and nada. I know raw foods works wonders and wish I could constantly feed them on it but with price of food and all that needs to be mixe to enure getting all nutrients, vitamins, and minerals AND variety, just off the table for right now :/
Can confirm - my horse is very pleased with Valley Vet as our source of IVM.

You can put the white paste in capsules and swallow it that way. Otherwise it's pretty nasty. The gel is pretty decent.

Why would it be ok for some breeds and not others? Genuinely asking.
It's got to do with the genetic makeup of certain breeds...just something to be aware of.
