I greatly symphathize with the majority of comments here...However..I have an idea...what if the"enforcement" piece was taken away from ALL domestic Federal agencies that utilize armed agents, and centralized in one agency- call it the knuckle dragging doorkicker agency (because they are STRICTLY enforcement - ,arrests, execution of search warrants, etc. anything requiring an armed response.)
Then every federal agency that needs an armed reaponse must first try to partner with the state police of the state in question for enforcement, and if that is denied (or there is a reason to skip this step, like an investigation where members of atate police are under inveatigation) the agency in question must go before a 3 judge panel to authorize use of the Knuckle Dragging Doorkicker Agency, and repreaentatives from both agencies and the panel must sign off on the exact scope of work required.
I know this is far from perfect, but it seems like both a conflict of interest and a liability to all involved to have the same team who files the warrant execute it. I say a liability because I can't imagine the average Fed glowboi is much of a shooter ( in the Close Quarters Battle, breach and enter kind of way, not range queens). So maybe a scheme like this could put additional oversight in place, as well keep people safer.
Curious to see what folks think of this.
