Went to make a deposit to First Citizens Bank two days ago. The amount was less than $500. The tell asked for my ID. I got pretty loud and asked what she needed it for. She stated they are now required to document every single cash deposit.
I believe it's time to stop using banks. Hmmm I wonder what those new 87,000 IRS agents will be up to...
What does it matter if you’re depositing into an account already linked to your identity?
Bingo. It might make it a little easier, but idk about you guys, when I set up my bank accounts, they got everything short of a print of my asshole on file. I'm working on de-banking but it's a struggle in this automated world.
photocopying assholes has gotten tricky since the covid protocols
....or MONKEYPOX! Kek.
Yeah Kinkos is very much not cool with it any more, not sure what the big deal is really? I brought alcohol wipes to clean it off for the next guy
It didn’t go over well when I asked to see the manager after they shut me down at Pop Copy
I sent them mine
looks like this *

Fuckin kek. RIP my sides
I sent them a print of your asshole later. They have everything. They have it all.
I left very strict, specific instructions with my bank. If anyone tries to deposit cash in my account, just let them do it. No ID required
In case someone else makes the deposit...they want to know who.
ok but the depositor can’t be harassed by the taxman like the recipient can be
With the proposed influx of agents they can and bet they will... Remember, its' pronounced theIRS!
Hopefully true. I don't know that they keep a record...yet, anyway.
as if fake IDs aren't a thing for people who want to do shady shit
I think they’re trying to stop anonymous crypto type transactions.
There are some folks who will give out bank account numbers and if you deposit into their account with a memo of your crypto wallet id, they’ll take a cut but put most of your money into your wallet.
That way your deposit is anonymous into your anonymous wallet. It’s really untraceable.
