If it really was covid or not, I don't know (don't trust the PCR), however, I have never had a fever before that lasted two weeks. It was definitely something different than a normal flu.
Given it was the delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 I got and have produced natural antibodies for, tell me why I should care about an omicron or whatever new variant they come up with (other than they will probably start with the vaccine mandates again)?

You shouldn't. Having the illness yourself is the best vaccination.
