General Chat for Fri, Aug 26
📜✒️𝐏𝐎𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐘 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓🕯️🎭
What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
So yesterday's General Chat became a fertile ground of imagination for all the budding poets in GAW. Lets keep those creating juices flowing!
Ode to the world I never saw A tribute to an unborn;
Goodbye mommy and daddy, I went to see Jesus today
Your world I never got to see Even though it has caused me so much pain
Strange tools invaded my warm dark world And came to take me away
When you said you didn’t want me, They took that as an ok
To tear me limb from limb To rip my little body to shreds And suck out my brain
I love you still and I forgive you
Though you chose to take my life away You didn’t think about my rights, my life, Or what I one day could be
You thought that your concerns and desires were what mattered And my life was yours to take
You were told I was just a clump of cells and that I couldn’t live Without you or outside you and I wasn’t a child But the truth is, I am
I would have been the most beautiful baby in the world
Even if you didn’t show me love, you could’ve given me to someone who had
And Jesus loves me like he loves you, he knew me and knit me in your womb
I would’ve grown up to love you and love others in the world
I could’ve done something of utmost importance
I could’ve helped make a difference to change the world
I could’ve played in the sunshine and puddles in the rain,
Was I blonde, red head or brunette Did I have eyes of blue, brown or green
You’ll never know, you chose not to see or let me live
I’m sorry I didn’t fit in To your plans, for the life you chose to live
But why, why did you decide mine was yours, not to give?
We could’ve had the best adventures together You could’ve held me and watched me grow
If only you had let me live But now you’ll never know
Mommy, Daddy, what did I do wrong? What lead you to take my life away? To prevent my every song
If you could turn back time, would you do it all again? Or would you let me live?
Make way, On the higher mountain
Make way, Oh make way,
For the Lord (Unfinished)
War cry
As the war cry comes And the battle lines are drawn
Stand steady in Christ Stand firm upon the Rock
Jesus will reveal when the time has come
When we hear the angel’s mighty horn The sound that’s heard far across the world
His voice as sharp as a two edged sword
Hold tight to faith Hold tight to Him
Because we all fall down But he’s holding out his hand
If we trust in Him To the point of death
He will lead us to the promised land
Never to feel sorrow Never to experience pain
But to live whole again Complete in Him
Time to seal your fate
Spring was lovely
Spring was great
But now it’s time to seal your fate
Your life was easy Your life was grand But now you’re drowning on dry land
You’ve got a choice yet To be made
Yes it’s time to seal your fate
You see the choice is up to you Have you forgotten How to choose
There’s someone who loves you so He gave His life He gave it all upon a cross
So you would not stand condemned
He gave us all a choice
We either turn away repent of sin And come to Him
Or we suffer endless grief gnashing of teeth
Jesus is the only way Will you choose him on this day
Trust me there’s no party there in hell Fiery void and full of pain For all eternity
But with Jesus love, joy and peace I pray you make the right choice And take a stand
Repent of sin And come to Him
A woman who fears the Lord
Charm is deceptive And beauty is vain
But a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised A woman who fears the Lord
(Unfinished-from Bible)
SAVE ME
As the small boy cries From his prison cell
And he cries Mommy, Daddy save me, save me
And that small boy cries From his wishing well
He cries Mommy, Daddy Save me, Save me
And he cries Don’t forget about me Don’t you ever leave me Don’t, forget me when I’m gone
And don’t you leave me, alone
And that small boy cries He cries Save me, save me (Repeat) (For my Grandson Malachi when you were learning to sleep through the night in your own bed-hearing you cry so much broke Grama’s heart)
Oh that you were in between Filled with monsters we couldn’t see
As a child I needed you
I mentioned many time or two That trouble always followed you
Oh that you were in between
Didn’t know your pain your errs Now I know that you were scarred
Please know that I was too
Oh that you were in between
Between two rocks of giants I cowered
So small and cold and frail
Oh, that you were in between
While you that bottle held and fell Beneath your clouded veil
For many a year you fought that battle Til monsters had their way
Oh, that you were in between And then you crumbled on the walk you sank
Your voice and strength recoiled
I fought like mad that I could save But nay, twas nigh enough
Oh, that you were in between You made your peace and chose our Lord only just before that stroke of midnight fell
Oh, that you were in between
This is is my prayer Lord
Lord this is my Prayer
Reach the hearts of the ones who’ve hardened Reach the lost and the broken hearted
Reach the ones who don’t know
Bring your people alongside them To teach and show them the way
Lead them and guide them Lord Show them the error of their ways
And what will take place If they continue their path dear Lord And not just mistakes
Show them your love Lord Your patience and grace
Remove their blinders Lord For the ones who can’t see
The wicked path they’re choosing Lord And where it will lead
Lord, You are my Saviour, my Father, my friend And I choose You til the end
Before the final battle Lord Give them their last chance
To choose to follow you And accept Your sacrifice
So when Satan comes to take them To their final fate
That they may have turned to You Lord And that fiery hell escape
I’ve got a story to tell
If I’d only written it down
It’s written down though In the Lamb’s book of life
Grace snd Mercy I’ve been given plenty
Without them, I wouldn’t be alive
Blessings and miracles I’ve seen a few
Because of them I know God’s got a job for me to do
He drew me near Pounded me into shape as His Potter’s clay Refined me in the fires as gold
Because of all this painful shaping I have been made anew
Now useful for His purpose As He gives me this job to do
Now as I move forward In obedience and humility
I will serve in Jesus name To accomplish the goal He set before me
