What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
I just had foot surgery, and I wish I had had it sooner. But I know everything there is to know about feet. So hear my suggestions.
Since you’re gonna be working on on your feet, you need to get a really good pair of shoes. These will be shoes you were to work every day. The shoes I purchased after my foot surgery, are called Gravity Defy! They come with two pairs of orthotics, and you can switch them out based on how swollen you feel like your feet are. They have a great arch support, and help correct and overpronation if you walk on the inside of your feet. They are good solid shoes, and I feel confident when I wear them. Best thing, is my feet don’t hurt.
Also if you’re going to be on your feet a lot at work you need to be wearing some type of compression stocking. They come in different levels, so I wouldn’t get the strongest level, because the top of the sock will dig in to where your knee meets your calf. You’ll wanna pair that has a two or 3 inch support at the top of the sock, that way they won’t dig in. You used to be able to get these at Walgreens, but I’ve done a lot of shopping for socks like this over the years and I just can’t remember where I got mine. Walmart may be another place.
But wearing the compression stockings alone, will keep you from having to have been surgery when you get older. So it will keep your heart healthy as well. You don’t want to be straining your veins all day long while you’re standing on your legs. It’s just so bad for you. The socks are not that expensive, they come in white and black, and will save you years of misery.
If you don’t like the look of the gravity defy shoe, try and find another type of shoe that’s going to give you a great arch support. Not Nike ha ha ha ha! Hoka it’s another brand, but I think their shoes are ugly. But that’ll just give you an idea of what to look for.
It will be an investment, but worth every dime! Just think of them as your work shoes. It’ll save your feet, and your legs! And to be perfectly honest, the socks and the shoes together make your feet and legs feel top-notch.
Thank you very much sharing your experience!
Sure no problem. If there’s anything I can do to help out a fellow friend, with foot issues, I have the information… I suffered with my foot problem for over five years, I’ve tried every product, every sock, anything and everything to help alleviate the pain. I finally had the surgery done and I’m doing much better now. I can’t stress how important your feet are. Take good care of your feet, and especially with the compression stockings. They will be with you for the rest of your life, and you’ll want them to be healthy! God bless you and have a great night.!
Wow you sure have a firm footing on the topic lol 🤣😉😁🙏❤🙌
That’s funny… Yes I do. How have you been? I hope all is well with you. I’ve noticed the post that you’ve been posting of your dog on the animals.win. Cute!
