Thats what I told my kids. Santa is the Scandinavian version of St Nick. I know for sure there was a St Nick and we celebrate his good works. Then I told them the stories about St Nick, the stockings, etc.
I know plenty of kids that were devastated learning the truth. Then if you are a Christ follower you set them up to question if that’s even true..

Totally agree. I did not lie to my kids. I told them, “Santa is for fun; Jesus is for real.” Then I always wrapped “Santa” gifts for them, and they were “in” on the joke from the beginning. There was never a crisis of belief, we joked about “Believe” and hearing the silver bell (Polar Express), etc. The Tooth Fairy was the Tooth Troll (who always had the cash—their dad). Easter Bunny was never mentioned since that is a genuinely sacred day for Christianity, but they always got a basket with nice things. They are grown now and I have no regrets.
My dad always said that if he said something 3 times, it was not a joke. Well, he said Santa was real 3 times and I never trusted him fully after that. That was my own experience that guided my decision as a parent.
The Santa/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy lies are a very fun thing as a parent

They figured it out. It is a great moment in their lives when their realize it. None of my kids called us out on the lie because from their point of view it would mean no stockings with candy and no gifts from Santa any more.
Combine the no downvote button in community styling plus rampant stickies... It effectively hides the good posts, yet [they] talk about "downvoting is censorship...free speech man..."

I'm grateful this guy doesn't live next door to me. I have good neighbors that are fond of Christmas as a child including all the fun and make-believe parts! No, reindeer can't fly, but neither can "magic carpets".
My son told the new neighbors son that Santa wasn’t real and we were nervous that they’d be upset but they said it was fine it was time he found out the truth. They felt that now that he knows the truth he will become Santa clause to his baby brother and sister until they are old enough to become Santa. I liked that but it doesn’t relate to the awakening.
Well I’ve never been off the earth to view it as it’s projected on the tv screen, computer screen, movie screen, photos.. so call me what you will but not so sure we are a globe anymore.. kind of like when you begin to realize Santa coming down the chimney might not be real as well
Non-globe earth really stirs the pot. Just consider the possibility.
Why do the WHO and other big global entities use a “flat earth” model as their symbol? Someone posted a bunch on here. Also, the “Virgin Galactic” and the Bezos rocket shaped like a penis were like a big slap in the face too. Like they are trying to wake everyone up but no one can wake up to it. Either way it doesn’t affect me because I’m here until I’m not. But why,if they are lying, are they lying? I just ask questions. We believe what we believe and those beliefs affect our life. The mind is super powerful.

I am still on the fence about this, but the more you consider the questions, the more you question the assumptions. The two that got me thinking: if water always finds it’s balance to level, then how does it go around the planet? Why do we go over Greenland when flying from Seattle to Amsterdam, but when they fly from Australia to South Africa, they fly far north before flying south? (check the airline flights.)—shouldn’t they fly across the bottom of the planet? There are several points that they make on this subject that are puzzling. But it is a HUGE trigger for people, that is for sure. Same with the moon landing.

Globe heads that simply refuse to discuss the topic are as bad as the masked up covidiots. Multiple locations on Earth where you can see across 40 or 50 miles of water to land and according to globe math it ought to be impossible even accounting for "diffraction".
