Very cool response! Im happy to learn more about the healing properties of tobacco after reading that. Interest piqued, perhaps this will be my evening rabbit hole!

Actually, I have seen tour guides in the Malayan jungle put cigarettes behind their ears for just that purpose, so one can use commercial tobacco as first aid.
