This would backfire on everyone who purchases these items because the lawmakers would then make everyone use a credit card (which the banks would also profit from) instead of letting those who use cash only go on about our business. Crazy brainwashed people will not be stopped no matter how infringed our rights are.
No doubt this is intel they would love to have, ammo tracking could be super snooping with the backdoor registration they use now, and could help to identify location of guns purchased in secondary market.
It would identify location by person, idea of type by caliber and kind of ammo purchased, and skill by volume consumed.
And this shit just might fly under the commerce clause or a taxation scam, IRS requiring records of purchasers for collections of taxes due.
I would like for someone smarter than me to point out the folly of this thoughts.
It isn't suspicious to purchase ammo with a debit Visa card!!!!!!!! Careful what you wish for.

It’s better to eliminate the idiotic ‘Gun Free Zones’ where only perps have guns to kill with impunity.
An armed citizenry is a polite citizenry.
If the adults in the room had weapons, the perps would only get off a few rounds before they were taken out.
Guns don’t kill people, gun free zones kill people.
Be careful what you wish for.
Flag gun/ammo purchases today, flag meat purchases tomorrow.
No thanks.
