I'm not going to write a huge missive, like this pile I just saw. Just many of you are REALLY off base about this topic. You can argue all you want, but it's insulting and I know for a fact there are a few gay people on here saying things, and therefore likely a hell of a lot more afraid to speak up, realizing it's pointless, etc.
- Being gay is not immoral.
- Being gay is NOT a choice, other than current fads among youth, and this is NOT "being gay."
- Most gays are NOT pedos.
- Most gays were not raped as kids.
- Most gays are in fact fed up with how far the grooming/tranny stuff/kids stuff is going.
And don't come at me with what an alleged God allegedly said in a book written by people who lived in a vastly more ignorant time overall.
If nothing else, just shut up about what you really don't know about, as it makes us all look like morons at best, and like a bunch of religious zealots that are going to un-separate church and state at worst.
Be advised I will not argue with anyone in the comments on this post.
EDIT: I told you - I will not argue. It's pointless - people who are set in their ways are NEVER up for argument, especially about a) homosexuality or b) religion. There are already several comments already making my exact points, even though they think they are doing the opposite.
EDIT 2: Lots of expected nonsense in the comments, but the score is still 175 to 52 as of this writing....
Not everyone believes in the same book, or the same God, or even a god/gods. You believe it's a sin? That's cool. You do you man.
I figure, if people believe they're sinners and sinning they should change their ways. To be better. And even if people don't believe they are sinners or sinning they should still want to be better. Your definition of better is surely different from mine, which is different from theirs.
Before we point out another's sin, should we not remove the beams and motes from our own eyes?
So, when do you give someone advice for improvement, or "call sinners to repentance"? When they ask for help, or guidance, or are in need of help, or approach with a broken heart and contrite spirit.
Whether you view religion as the path to God's glorious rewards - or merely as a crutch some need to live a better life - it doesn't really matter to some of us. Live the best life you can, the best you know how, the fullest life possible. Be as happy as you can, the best way you can, as altruistic as you know how.
If we all do that, and there IS a fair and just God and afterlife, I'm pretty sure we'll all end up around the same place, more or less. And if not? At least you made the world a better place while you were here.
