I'm not going to write a huge missive, like this pile I just saw. Just many of you are REALLY off base about this topic. You can argue all you want, but it's insulting and I know for a fact there are a few gay people on here saying things, and therefore likely a hell of a lot more afraid to speak up, realizing it's pointless, etc.
- Being gay is not immoral.
- Being gay is NOT a choice, other than current fads among youth, and this is NOT "being gay."
- Most gays are NOT pedos.
- Most gays were not raped as kids.
- Most gays are in fact fed up with how far the grooming/tranny stuff/kids stuff is going.
And don't come at me with what an alleged God allegedly said in a book written by people who lived in a vastly more ignorant time overall.
If nothing else, just shut up about what you really don't know about, as it makes us all look like morons at best, and like a bunch of religious zealots that are going to un-separate church and state at worst.
Be advised I will not argue with anyone in the comments on this post.
EDIT: I told you - I will not argue. It's pointless - people who are set in their ways are NEVER up for argument, especially about a) homosexuality or b) religion. There are already several comments already making my exact points, even though they think they are doing the opposite.
EDIT 2: Lots of expected nonsense in the comments, but the score is still 175 to 52 as of this writing....
In that order, we're all sinners. Everyone. The fact you don't know/realize that tells me all I need to know about how much you know about Christianity, given that's the literal focal point of the religion (we're lost and sinners without Jesus).
Second of all May I introduce you to 2 Corinthians 5:20 ?
"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."
We're called to be ambassadors for Christ, ergo, separating the wheat from the chaff on behalf of God so that he may save the sinners according to his will.
As for the rest of your "arguement". I'm assuming you're the type who expects us all to roll over and die upon any confrontation because Jesus "wouldn't want that"? Are we forgetting that God is a wrathful God and he uses men to enact his will. Let us not forget God leading the Israelites into a war where they committed genocide against multiple cultures in order to establish ancient Israel, or when God used David to win a multitude of earthly wars in order to enact his will.
Or would you prefer a non violent example of God using men to enact his will on Earth? In that case let us look to Moses who God used on MANY occasions to perform his will. Or what about John (The cousin of Jesus, not he disciple), who performed earthly miracles on God's behalf before the arrival of Jesus?
How about a modern example, in which case you can look to literally any Missionary service where they give up years of their lives to go preach the word and convert non believers in atheist majority areas?
But I digress, the literal second paragraph of your response tells me all I need to know. You know nothing of Christianity, and nothing you say or claim will change my view on that. The fact that you don't know we're all sinners in God's eyes with out the blood and sacrifice of Jesus is proof of your ignorance on the topic.
"But I digress, the literal second paragraph of your response tells me all I need to know. You know nothing of Christianity, and nothing you say or claim will change my view on that."
Says the person who points to Saul as primary over Jesus's words to guide his life.
But of course, it's what I expect from someone who prefers to project his own inadequacies versus come to the harsh realization of what God has instructed him to do he doesn't want to do.
"I'm assuming you're the type who expects us all to roll over and die upon any confrontation because Jesus "wouldn't want that"?"
Of course you do, because strawman are all you know. You make something up that gives you the moral high ground, spit a random scripture to appear knowledgeable and try to win on an argument that wasnt made.
As for all of your weak strawman responses, I asked if God had called the time of harvest and designated you a reaper. Of course, He hasn't. What He has called others for is immaterial.
