A letter was sent. This is not something being done. Compliance is required, and then charging, arresting, trying, sentencing.

There are a lot of steps that come after a letter.

How many times has Big Tech been in front of Congress? When has anything ever come of what they say there? It's not even the first time they came out against the federal government in their shows.
