What about cholesterol?
Cholesterol is not what it's made out to be. Processed garbage causes internal inflammation, and cholesterol is what your body sends to heal it. You can have high cholesterol but have perfectly clear arteries.
Right. Excess cholesterol is just excreted in the feces. The issue where cholesterol becomes dangerous is in the progression of atherosclerosis. So, that makes cholesterol a risk factor, but the primary cause remains oxidative stress in the arterial lining that leads to plaque formation. I'd still advise people to eat sensible amounts of healthy food. A couple eggs for breakfast won't kill you, but eating a dozen a day seems unwise.
Your liver adjusts to the cholesterol consumed in the diet. Nothing wrong with a dozen eggs a day if you can stomach that many! Cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease, it is a band-aid for the actual culprit. Get seed oils out of the diet along with "foods" that contain lectins.
Read "The Great Cholesterol Con" By Dr. Malcom Kendrick. His British humor makes it a fun read and not a dry read. He puts things into laymans terms. For example, a decades-long study on Japan's eating habits shows that as higher-cholesterol consumption increased, the instances of heart attacks decreased. LDL is not a boogeyman, and it's necessary for your body to maintain health. Conversely, low LDL levels are dangerous and might be an indicator for disease or other health problem.
