This was my first red pill in 2012. I read a book called the Primal Blueprint and it was all based on what our primate ancestors consumed. After eating eggs, nuts, butter, vegetables, steaks and other meats for about a month, my cholesterol levels and triglycerides improved immensely. It also was very eye-opening regarding recognizing conventional wisdom and breaking out of that Big-Pharma cycle. I read this book shortly after my doctor tried to prescribe a statin for high cholesterol that I've had since a young child. It had been high for my whole adult life up until that point, even though I was a long distance runner and had eaten well by FDA guidelines. I learned the food pyramid was a huge scam and scrapped everything I had ever thought was the truth about food. Once I got over my fear of eating fats, everything improved after that. Now, we live on meats and vegetables.
I also follow the Primal Blueprint back then. I later realized it allowed way too many carbs for me. I felt much better after going keto.
