Correct. Doorstep-to-doorstep service requires an initial and final interface that is on the ground. Unavoidable (unless you are using aerial drones).
They have that for delivery and for returns. I think Kohls is a return site, and there are sites with lockers for pickup, which are also supposedly safe from porch pirates.
Mmmmm.....The problem is that it is not really pleasant to go to such places. I have to go to Walmart because they are the only one I can find that carries a cat food that I need for my diabetic cat. If it wasn't for that, I would never go there. The checkout line is a disgrace. It is a horrible experience. (Kohl's I don't know about.) I live about 5 miles away and with stoplight traffic and finding parking, it is a 15-minute trip one-way. Even though I regard drone delivery with skepticism, I can see where it is preferable over going to a box store.
