Just make sure they understand they are better than no one simply because they have faith... Try not to let them buy into that whole indwelling spirit crap. You see, I used to think since I was a good Christian boy that was incapable of feeling lust (the hypershaming didn't help either. Don't use shame, it breeds rebellion) and as such when I felt attracted to a woman it was true love. It HAD to be!!!!
Except... That our knowledge does not make us special. We are just as human. Just as capable of evil as anyone. We are sinners through and through and it's fighting our nature that causes us to do some terrible things in the name of Jesus...
This is why I put Him and really only Him at the top. "Additional context" always seems to conveniently justify shitty behavior and very much contradicts who Jesus actually was. He didn't pick a Pharisee to be His disciple. He picked 12 Grade A scumbags who were considered "unclean". He spent time amongst sinners, not surrounded in the comfort of the temple like most modern Christians do today...
He did also speak on the importance of protecting children... But that extends beyond the obvious in that you should avoid raising them to be insecure pius pretenders like I once was...
