I recall Russia having to protect some IAEA folks that wanted to inspect the reactor and Ukraine got hostile just a few days back. Also recall a few months ago some talk about "Russia's goin to go attack their reactor" and instead secured it after some azovs or something were using it as a bunker. Of course, I'm halfway around the world, but I'll still listen to both sides and try to forge some semblance of truth out of it.
Big attempt recently by Ukraine to storm the Zaporozhe nuclear power plant---while the IAEA team and journalists (60+ of them) were on site. The 300-man assault was nearly to a man killed by a well-prepared Russian ambush. Photos of Ukrainian corpses awash on the banks of the lake. The assault was alleged to be prepared and rehearsed by MI6.
