An apparent bruise on the 96-year-old queen's hand shown in photos released on Tuesday provoked comment before her doctors announced they were "concerned."

When you live to be that old you will have veins puddling blood in areas of your body definitely if you just bang the side of your hand lightly. I see that black bruising on very elderly all the time. They are out and about that is when I see them. Just like the queen out and about that is not the reason she is down from a bruise on her hand.
