Think of the Earth like a flat plate, and then above it are the sun and moon going around in circles illuminating the surface.

What reasons? Have you seen the pictures?

I cant speak for your house on a hill but it sounds like a lovely place.

NASA are amateurs, except at deceiving the public. But in all seriousness, yes anyone launching shit "into space" is a faker.
