First we swim.
Then we drown.
First we smile.
Then we frown.
First we dream.
Then we bend.
First we start.
Then we end.
First we see.
Then we try.
First we smile.
Then we cry.
First we crawl.
Then we walk.
Then we stumble.
Then we fall.
First we mumble.
Then we talk.
Then we scream.
Then we balk.
Then we lean.
Then we shake.
Then we knew.
And then we quaked.
First we looked.
Then we scanned.
Then we saw
And then we ran.
Then we watched.
And now we'll wait
Because then is now
And now is too late.
First you'll scream
And then you'll cry
But when we dream
Its already died.
I wrote this poem when I was like 19 I just was reminded of it and thought I'd share it. No idea why it just made me think of it.
I have a bad grammatical habit of saying and writing the word (conversationally) "just" way too much. So yeah.
"Just" nothing in this world
It's the equivalent of saying "it was only"
It's an excuse really, that word. "Just."

I need to break my habit of "just". Anyone else?
