My great uncle had swollen fingers literally before he died, just suddenly appeared. Looks like Charles is very ill, maybe kidneys.

I wonder if the evil poisoned him or something to get him to comply. Maybe even dangle an antidote or a suitable transplant to cure him. I don't know.

Charles has had those fingers for many years. I would guess he has multi-system issues for it to be that bad. Kidney, heart, arthritis? Who knows. Never seen swelling like that on another human being!
