“Monday marked the last day of the public comment period for the Title IX proposals. Public comments discussing the proposal totaled almost 350,000 last Tuesday in the Federal Register.
By Friday, however, the total was reduced to 184,009, Politico first reported. Officials told reporters that a "clerical error" at the Department of Education had accidentally "boosted" the number of comments to the original 350,000. “
“The disappearance of comments on the government website did not come without warning. The government explicitly reserved the right to not make a given comment available to the public, stating, "Please note that while everyone can comment, not every comment is made publicly available to read. Agencies have the option of whether or not to post comments to [the government site.”
^^^^ this !
And so did Ron Paul. That so called " education" department is quite a waste of money, energy and quite frankly: space.

One really does wonder why they call it a " clerical" error ...
Not that it matters from little ol’ me but I too have straight up called for an abolishment of DESE, many times.
I haven’t shared this on GAW, but I was a teacher for many years. Up until recently when I quit my job and started homeschooling. My administrators, and coworkers received a redpill on my way out. I didn’t burn any bridges, left with class and continue to be respected as an educator, just not within the confines of their four walls.
I like to think they are now realizing why I was outspoken in regards to many policies and curriculum choices throughout my career, and hope they remember my smiling face when I was the only on walking the halls without a mask. Hopefully, they now realize the things I discussed are becoming their reality.
